TUSTIN, Calif. (April 16, 2009) Permlight for Signs today launched its newest product. Cayenne for Signs, delivering to the industry a high-efficiency, high-output red LED for medium to large applications. The introduction enhances Permlight for Signs’ High Brightness (HB) product line, offering nine standard (five whites, red, blue, green and amber) high brightness colors, – one of the most comprehensive in the industry.

Cayenne for Signs produces an incredible 200 nits of luminance on the face of a standard depth channel letter when used at normal spacing. Long known for its industry leading performance in LED modules producing white light, Cayenne for Signs now places Permlight for Signs at the forefront of red illumination as well. In addition to the new Cayenne for Signs, Permlight offers the Nano, Twister, and el Plato modules in 620 nm red. With the addition of the Cayenne for Signs, Permlight for Signs now can deliver a Red LED-based solution for any application.
For sign designers, specifiers and manufacturers, this super high brightness designation creates an environment to push the boundaries of sign fabrication, affording new innovations in maximum effectiveness.
Despite the possibilities in new sign designs, Cayenne for Signs is engineered for maximum effectiveness in channel letter applications from 12” to upward of 58” and still provides the efficiency expected from an LED system. This product was designed to specifically outperform any red currently available in the market today.
As with all Permlight for Signs LED sign modules, Cayenne for Signs operates on the industry standard 12 volts DC. Permlight for Signs’ own series of 60-watt and 240-watt remote power supplies are engineered with forward and backward compatibility, and have led the industry with ease of use since 2002.
Permlight for Signs’ entire line of LED sign modules simplify compliance with California’s Title 24 regulation, which legislates that the disposal of any hazardous waste such as mercury, which is contained in most neon and fluorescent lamps, is illegal. Permlight for Signs LED modules contain no hazardous materials.
