Permlight Increases White Twiste’R Brightness and Lifetime and Sets Target on White Neon

• Popular white channel letter product increases from 3.6 candela to 7.8 candela per linear foot

Tustin, CA - Wednesday, May 25, 2005 – Permlight Products announced today that it has begun shipping large volume shipments to its customers and distributors of its new higher brightness White Twiste’R 752-WHT-B series channel letter illumination product. The patented product utilizes a new class of high brightness LEDs that offers double the brightness and better lumen maintenance. Until recently the White Twiste’R product was the product of choice for white reverse halo lit illuminated letters where letter size prohibited the use of white neon. Now the new brighter White Twiste’R features intensity and color uniformity to rival white neon for face lit channel letters at a fraction of the cost of competing LED system technologies. The new Twiste’R system is 20-50% lower cost than comparable competing technologies.

The 752-WHT-B series features 2600mcd output per module or 7800 mcd per linear foot using Permlight’s patented thermal management technology to ensure longer lifetime with lumen depreciation of less than 10% over 30,000 hours. The White Twiste’R series consumes 1/10th the power of white neon and when used in conjunction with Permlight’s high power 250 Watt Class 2 power supply can cost a sign manufacturer only 15-30% more to manufacture than its white neon counterpart.
