Permlight and Duraled Enter into Strategic Relationship to Expand Market Presence
Wednesday, September 10, 2003 - Tustin, CA - Permlight Products
announced today that it has entered into a strategic marketing,
engineering relationship with Duraled, a UnityOpto company, to expand
both companies presence in their respective markets and applications.
The terms of the agreement were not released but involve a close working
relationship to maximize each others intellectual property and know how
in LED lighting systems for a wide range of end applications.
In commenting on the newly forward relationship, Permlight President and
CEO Manuel Lynch stated, I have been impressed with the focus and
persistence that Duraled has exhibited in the last year to develop a
solid product line in its BorderBrite and LetterBrite products. We
rarely crossed paths as competitors and saw greater benefit to playing
off of each others strengths to build a larger business for both
companies. We will be taking advantage of their manufacturing prowess
and in turn they will tap into our strength in marketing and application
development.
Both companies, located in Orange County California will take advantage
of proximity to enter into a closer working relationship and develop
critical mass that will assist in driving down LED system cost to
customers. Both companies are known as the low cost leaders in the
industry today.
