Privacy Policy

Your right to privacy is important to Permlight Products, Inc. (“Permlight,” “us” or “we”). This policy explains what information we gather about you when you visit our site and how we use and protect that information.                     

Collection of Information
We collect two kinds of information about visitors to our site: (i) personal information, such as name, address, telephone number, email address and billing information (“Personal Information) that visitors volunteer to request information, complete transactions, or access certain features of our site; and (ii) aggregated tracking data we collect when visitors interact with our site, which helps us evaluate and improve our site and may be useful for marketing analysis (“Non-Personal Information). We may use the Non-Personal Information for any purpose and share Non-Personal Information with any third party.

If some or all of the business or assets of Permlight are sold or transferred, you agree that Permlight may transfer information received from you along with such sale or transfer, without notice to or consent from you.

In order to request information, complete transactions or access certain features of our site, you may be prompted to provide Personal Information. If you choose not to provide Personal Information when requested, you will not be able to obtain the particular products, services, information or benefits that require such disclosure.

We reserve the right to send you announcements relating to Permlight or our products. If you do not want to receive announcements from us, please contact us to opt-out of receiving such announcements, provided that you will be unable to opt-out of receiving announcements that relate to technical service, safety, security or similar issues associated with the products you have purchased or requested.

We occasionally allow trusted marketing partners to offer our customers information about their products or services. Our marketing partners will be required to use any Personal Information we provide them only for that purpose. If you do not wish to receive offers or other communications from our business partners, you can “opt out” by following the directions set forth in the communications.
Disclosures Required by Law and Investigation

We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information in order to comply with any subpoenas, court orders or other legal process, to establish or exercise our legal rights or to defend against legal claims.

We reserve the right to use and disclose your Personal Information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, infringement of intellectual property rights of Permlight or third parties, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or violations of our terms of use.

Access to Personal Information
You may access, modify, or update your Personal Information through the My Account page. Your personal information will be password-restricted and encrypted for your protection. You may also change your password. In addition, while at the Customer Registration or Customer Profile page, you may tell us whether you would like to subscribe to any of our newsletters about Permlight products or services.
Use of Cookies

A cookie is a text file that a website transfers to your computer’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes and to enhance the quality of your visit to the website. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Like other major websites, we may use cookie technology to provide us with information concerning your navigation to various areas on our site and to help us analyze the traffic on our site. We do not use cookies to read any information on your computer. Web beacons, also known as clear gif technology or action tags, may be used to assist in delivering cookies on our site. This technology tells us how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on a particular web page. We do not use this technology to access your Personal Information, but we do use it to compile aggregated statistics about usage of our website. We may share aggregated site statistics with marketing partners but do not allow unaffiliated companies to place clear gifs on our sites.

We use reasonable established industry standards and procedures to protect the information you share with us from unauthorized use or access.

Although we will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your Personal Information, transmissions made through the Internet cannot be absolutely secure. Once you leave our site, including by clicking on any links on our site, you will be subject to the privacy policies of third party website operators and other companies which may differ significantly from this policy. We are not responsible for privacy or security practices of any other website.
Changes to This Privacy Policy

The effective date of this policy is June 4, 2007. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website, and your use of the website following such posting constitutes your acceptance of the changed privacy policy. This privacy policy is incorporated into and made part of Permlight’s Terms of Use.
